Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and self-motivated HR Professional with experience in Organisational Development to support a large-scale transformational programme within our Operating Theatre Department. In this pivotal role, you will apply your HR acumen and change management skills to support the Theatre Productivity Programme Improvement Lead in fostering a safer, more productive, efficient, and welcoming environment for staff and patients alike.
Your primary focus will be to contribute towards developing current workflows, identifying areas for improvement, and implementation of strategic initiatives that enhance team collaboration, communication, and overall departmental culture. You will work closely with clinical leadership and staff to develop tailored programs that promote safety, staff well-being, and operational excellence.

What you’ll do:
• All the details are in the Job Description, but in summary you’ll have a broad, varied and fulfilling role asAssistant HR & OD Partner in our Theatres Department.
• Support through our people a large-scale transformation programme to improve theatre productivity and efficiency.
• Use a variety of OD tools and techniques to identify improvements to the functionality of the department, focussing on people, processes, structure and culture to create a more effective, efficient and engaged workplace.
• Engage and empower staff, fostering a culture of compassionate and inclusive leadership.
• Work collaboratively with multi-disciplinary teams.
What we’re looking for…
• Relevant HR & OD experience within the NHS or similar environment.
• Experience of providing HR support for implementation of large change programmes within a large team.
• Experience of managing and proving professionaladvice and coaching to leaders in all areas of employee relations.
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Commitment to the values and principles of the NHS.
