The role: We are seeking an Apprentice HR Officer to support the HR team within a local authority. This developmental role is ideal for someone looking to start their career in HR, combining hands-on experience with formal training towards an HR Support (Level 3) Apprenticeship qualification.



Key Responsibilities:

Assist in maintaining HR systems and databases
Support recruitment, casework, and HR projects
Provide basic HR advice via phone, email, and in person
Attend training and development sessions
Prepare HR documents and statistics
Liaise with internal teams and external partners



What the client is looking for:

Willingness to complete the HR Support Apprenticeship
GCSE Maths and English (A*-C / 9-4 or equivalent)
Strong communication and IT skills
A proactive approach to learning and workload management
Ability to work independently and as part of a team



Desirable:

Previous experience in HR administration
Knowledge of HR policies and processes
