Crynodeb
The duties of the post include the mental health assessment and review of patients experiencing mental health problems during the perinatal period that reside in the RBKC. The post-holder will work with a medical team consisting of a Consultant Psychiatrist. Assessments include community perinatal mental health review as well as ward based review within Chelsea and Westminster Hospital Maternity Unit. The post-holder will contribute to the supervision of the trainees/medical students, clinical discussion and support for other non-medical MDT members and is expected to contribute and write perinatal care plans, safeguarding reports for social care and attend pre-birth planning meetings, discharge from maternity or MBU meetings and children and families safeguarding meetings. To work as part of the multi-disciplinary team and to provide expertise within the department and upholding professional standards at all times. Made referrals to other professionals as required, including children or adult safeguarding referrals.
