We are excited to offer a rare opening for a 10 PA Specialty Doctor/Psychiatrist to work at Collingham Child and Family Centre (CNWL), a highly regarded National children's CAMHS inpatient unit in Central London. Collingham is a specialist inpatient mental health unit for children under 13 years old. As one of only 6 units of its kind in the UK commissioned by NHS England, the unit provides intensive assessment and treatment for children with mental disorders that require hospital admission. It offers inpatient provision for up to 8 children and is part of the National netowkr of T4 CAMHS inpatient units for children who reside in Greater London and the South of England. The service is accredited with the Quality Netowrk for Inpatient CAMHS (QNIC). The team includes psychiatrists, nurses, family therapists, psychologists, speech and language therapist, occupational therapists, social worker, dietitian, pharmacist, health care assistants, administration staff and teachers. During their time at Collingham, children attend the unit school and take part in a variety of therapeutic activities. Parents attend weekly family therapy sessions and other meetings and activities in the unit.

Central and North West London (CNWL) specialises in caring for people with a wide range of mental and physical health needs and is one of the largest mental health trusts in England. Each CAMHS service has its own local management structure: Harrow CAMHS has a Lead Psychiatrist, Therapies lead and team manager who work closely with the outer boroughs service manager. Each sub-team has a psychiatry and therapy lead and they, together with the team and service manager form the local senior management team which meets monthly. The postholder will be part of the SMT. The Harrow CAMHS team is well established and staffed by a large multi-disciplinary team of clinicians. We aim to provide an accessible, flexible and responsive local service for patients and professionals working with children in the area using a range of therapeutic interventions including behaviour, systemic, CBT, IPT-A, DBT, psycho-dynamic and group therapies as well as psychopharmacological approaches. Harrow CAMHS is a Tier 3 service, accepting referrals from GPs, paediatrics, schools and Children’s Services. The service has active service user groups for young people and parents. The team has a monthly CPD session and local care quality meeting, a doctors meeting twice a month which includes peer group case discussions, a weekly local consultants meeting and a monthly senior management meeting which the postholder will be part of.
