Job Title: Retail Operations Manager
Location: Hams Hall B46
Salary: £40,000 - £45,000 plus Bonus

We are seeking a highly capable and proactive Property Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operational integrity of our clients retail estate. This is a key strategic role that combines compliance, health and safety, maintenance, and project delivery for new store openings and refurbishments. Reporting directly to the Managing Director, you will be accountable for ensuring their estate is safe, compliant, efficient, and aligned with business growth plans.

Day-to-day responsibilities

• Ensure full compliance with all relevant legislation across all sites
• Own and maintain the health and safety policy and risk register for the business
• Oversee statutory inspections and ensure timely remedial action is taken
• Conduct audits and inspections, ensuring documentation is up to date and gaps addressed
• Develop and deliver a preventative and reactive maintenance strategy across stores, our warehouse and Head Office.
• Manage third-party contractors and suppliers, ensuring SLAs and cost-effectiveness.
• Maintain an accurate asset register for property-related equipment and infrastructure
• Monitor and manage service contracts (HVAC, alarms, lifts, etc.)
• Lead the property aspect of new store openings from site surveys to handover
• Oversee refurbishments and improvement works across the estate
• Manage project budgets and timelines
• Act as the main point of contact for all property-related queries and issues

Key Skills & Experience

• Proven experience in a property/facilities/operations management role, preferably in retail or multi-site environments
• In-depth knowledge of health and safety and statutory compliance
• Strong project management experience, especially with refurbishments and openings
• Excellent contractor and supplier management skills
• IOSH/NEBOSH Fire or Facilities Management qualifications desirable
• Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Highly organised with the ability to manage competing priorities
• Willingness to travel regularly across the UK
