Description
We are seeking an experienced and visionary Principal Planner (Gr J) to join our dynamic Facilities Services team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of urban planning and facilities management to develop and implement strategic plans that enhance operational efficiency and service delivery. The Principal Planner will work closely with cross-functional teams and stakeholders to ensure that planning initiatives align with organizational goals and meet the needs of the communities we serve. You will be responsible for analyzing current trends, evaluating program effectiveness, and making recommendations for improvements to facilities and services. Your expertise will be crucial in leading complex planning projects from inception to completion, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and best practices. You will also mentor junior planners and inspire a culture of collaboration and innovation within the planning team. With your strong analytical skills and ability to communicate effectively, you will advocate for necessary resources and support the continuous improvement of our facilities planning processes. Responsibilities
Lead the development of long-term strategic plans for facilities services.
Conduct comprehensive analysis of facilities requirements and trends.
Collaborate with various stakeholders to gather input and ensure alignment with organizational goals.
Oversee the implementation of planning initiatives and monitor their effectiveness.
Prepare and present reports, proposals, and recommendations to senior management.
Provide guidance and mentorship to junior planners on project management and best practices.
Ensure compliance with applicable regulations, standards, and policies throughout all planning processes.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in Urban Planning, Facilities Management, or a related field; Master's degree preferred.
Minimum of 7 years of experience in urban planning or facilities management.
Strong understanding of planning methodologies and regulatory frameworks.
Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
Proven experience in project management and leading cross-functional teams.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to present complex information clearly.
Proficiency in planning software and tools, as well as Microsoft Office Suite.

End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £24.08
Location: Herefordshire, West Midlands
