SEN Teaching Assistant - Post-16 Provision
Location: Enfield | Start: September 2025 | Full-time (term-time only)
Are you someone who connects easily with young people and isn't afraid of a challenge? Do you believe in second chances, fresh starts, and creating real opportunities for growth? If so, you might be exactly who we're looking for.
Remedy Education is working closely with a specialist SEN school in Enfield that supports learners aged 16-19 with a range of needs, including social, emotional and mental health challenges. The team is looking to welcome a committed SEN Teaching Assistant this September, someone who can bring calm energy, patience, and purpose to the classroom.
This is not a traditional school. The students here often haven't had the easiest journey through education, but with the right support, they can and do thrive. Your role will involve working closely with students who may struggle with behaviour and engagement. You'll help them find structure, confidence, and pathways toward independence, whether that's through functional skills, vocational activities or life skills learning.
This isn't just a support role, it's a relationship-building role. You'll need to show up every day with consistency, clarity, and a genuine interest in helping young people move forward. You'll be part of a team that understands how behaviour is a form of communication and that every success, no matter how small, matters.
We're particularly interested in people who:
- Have experience working with young people with SEMH needs or behavioural challenges
- Remain calm and steady in difficult situations
- Communicate clearly and confidently
- Believe that progress looks different for everyone - and celebrate that
- Are open to learning and receiving training in areas like positive behaviour support or Team Teach
This position offers real scope for professional development. You'll receive training, support from a forward-thinking leadership team, and the chance to work alongside skilled practitioners who care deeply about what they do.
If you're ready to work in a setting where your impact will be visible, and where no two days are the same, we'd love to speak with you.
To find out more or apply, get in touch with Remedy Education. We're interviewing on a rolling basis.
Please note: This role is subject to an Enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references, in line with safeguarding guidelines. You must have the legal right to work in the UK.
