Contract: Full time
Rate: £95-£110 per day
We are looking for a superb SEN Teaching Assistant looking to advance their experience in Education. This SEN Teaching Assistant role will require you to work in a SEN school in North London. As a SEN Teaching Assistant you will be supporting a student with moderate Autism (ASD) in a 1:1 setting. Your 1:1 will be on a ECHP and you will so you will be adhering to the plan using your fantastic SEN experience.
The ideal Teaching Assistant:
- Experience working with students with behavioural challenges, preferably in an educational or special education setting.
- Knowledge of behaviour management techniques, positive reinforcement strategies, and de-escalation methods.
- Ability to establish rapport and build positive relationships with students, demonstrating patience, empathy, and understanding.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, to effectively collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to remain calm and composed in challenging situations.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Experience as a Teaching Assistant, particularly with SEMH students.
- A solid understanding of SEMH and effective behaviour management strategies.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- The ability to work collaboratively with teachers and other professionals.
- A commitment to supporting high-quality education for students with SEMH needs.
