Role: Performance Manager

Hours: 35 hours per week

Salary: £46,388 to £57,985 per annum (salary offered dependent experience)

Contract: Permanent

Location: Hybrid, working between our Dartford office (Crossways Business Park) and home

At Moat, we believe that great performance management is about more than just numbers – it’s about purpose, alignment and impact. We’re looking for a strategic thinker and skilled collaborator to join our Governance & Compliance team as Performance Manager, turning data into meaningful action and driving a performance framework that improves lives and supports our social purpose.

What you'll be doing

As our new Performance Manager, you’ll play a pivotal role in shaping how we measure and understand success. You’ll lead the development of a robust, organisation-wide performance framework that connects strategy, delivery and outcomes – ensuring we stay aligned with our goals and regulatory responsibilities.

You’ll work closely with our Data & BI and Insight teams to bring performance data to life – creating meaningful narratives, aligning reporting tools and embedding a culture of insight-led decision-making.

This is a coordinating and connective role that sits at the intersection of strategic policy, assurance, data and delivery.

Acting as a critical friend across the organisation, you’ll ensure our performance information is consistent, reliable, and impactful – supporting colleagues at all levels and championing performance as a core part of good governance.

This is a high-influence, cross-cutting role that requires strategic thinking, analytical strength and a passion for turning data into action.

What we're looking for

We’re looking for someone who can connect the dots between data, delivery and outcomes.

You’ll need:

Experience developing performance frameworks in complex or regulated environments.
Strong analytical skills and the ability to interpret complex data sets.
Confidence working with stakeholders at all levels, including senior leaders.
A collaborative mindset and the ability to drive alignment across teams.
Familiarity with governance, compliance and strategic planning processes.
A proactive, challenge-led approach to improving performance and accountability.
You’ll bring a passion for assurance, shape a clear performance narrative and help others understand how metrics connect to delivery, strategy and decision-making.

Experience in the housing sector or a similarly regulated service environment is desirable, but not essential.
