This post holder will provide a specialist service within Community Eating Disorders Service, CAMHS to young people and their families. This is a community-based post, located within the countywide
Community Eating Disorders Service (CEDS) Bedfordshire and Luton CAMHS offering flexible,
evidence-based episodes of care, assessments and treatments to all earring disorders presentations and co-morbidities.
The role will include the provision of highly specialist advice/consultation, psychological assessment,
liaison with other agencies, psychology interventions, clinical supervision, line management, and teaching of staff and/or other professionals.
The post holder will be an experienced psychologist with a substantial knowledge in the field of child and adolescent mental health. They will clinically supervise the work of trainee psychologists and other psychologists as needed, and offer management supervision to other members of the team.
The post holder will need to work flexibly within the team, and be able to design an individually
tailored intervention program based on client need, clear analysis of causes of symptomatology and aformulation based approach, using evidence-based components, applying regular validated outcome measures. The post holder may need to contribute to service rotas including clinician of the day.
