Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Advanced MIG/TIG Welder to join a well-established fabrication team based in West Bromwich. This permanent role is ideal for someone who thrives in a busy workshop environment, is confident working from CAD-based drawings, and takes pride in delivering high-quality welding work.

Key Responsibilities:
. Read and interpret CAD drawings via the company's drawing database.
. Set up and operate MIG and TIG welding equipment to complete jobs to specification.
. Use jigs and fixtures to fabricate components with precision and consistency.
. Weld various materials including mild steel, stainless steel, aluminium, and Zintec-coated steels.
. Carry out any required weld clean-up to ensure a professional finish.
. Work to tight deadlines while maintaining quality standards.
. Ensure a safe and clean working environment, following all Health & Safety regulations.
. Report any issues or deviations to the Fabrication Manager.
. Complete and sign off route cards in accordance with ISO 9001.
. Support continuous improvement initiatives within the department.

Candidate Requirements:
Essential:
. Certified MIG and TIG welder with a strong fabrication background.
. Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar welding role.
. Able to weld a variety of materials including Zintec, mild steel, stainless steel, and aluminium.
. Experienced in working on large, complex fabrications.
. Confident using and understanding technical drawings and 3D models.
. Basic computer literacy to access digital drawing systems.
Desirable:
. Previous experience in a lean manufacturing or continuous improvement environment.
. Familiarity with using jigs and fixtures for batch or precision work.
