We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Project Manager to lead cross-functional programs in the design, development, testing, and certification of eVTOL aircraft. This role requires a balance of technical understanding, leadership, and program delivery skills. You will oversee complex project timelines, budgets, stakeholder communications, and ensure that milestones are met in accordance with aviation regulatory and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Plan, manage, and deliver end-to-end eVTOL aircraft development programs, from concept through certification and entry into service.
Coordinate cross-functional teams including airframe design, propulsion, avionics, battery systems, hydrogen/electric powertrains, and certification.
Manage project schedules, resource allocation, risks, and budgets using tools such as MS Project, Jira, or Primavera.
Interface with engineering, manufacturing, supply chain, certification authorities (EASA/CAA), and external partners.
Lead project reviews, stand-ups, and steering committee meetings with executive leadership and stakeholders.
Ensure adherence to industry standards (e.g., EASA SC-VTOL, DO-178C, DO-254, ARP4761).
Identify critical path items and drive proactive resolution of roadblocks.
Ensure compliance with safety, environmental, and quality standards (e.g., ISO 9001, AS9100).
Required Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Project Management, or a related discipline.
Project Management Certification (e.g., PMP, PRINCE2) is a strong advantage.
Experience:
5+ years of project/program management experience in the aerospace, automotive, or high-tech engineering sector.
Prior experience in eVTOL, UAV, electric aircraft, or aircraft certification programs is highly preferred.
Demonstrated track record of delivering complex, multi-disciplinary engineering projects on time and within budget.
Technical & Professional Skills:
Proficiency in project management tools (MS Project, Jira, Confluence, Smartsheet).
Working knowledge of aerospace systems and design lifecycle (V-model, DOORS, ARP4754A).
Familiarity with agile, waterfall, and hybrid methodologies.
Strong financial acumen and reporting skills (cost tracking, Earned Value Management).
Excellent communication, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills.
Desirable:
Experience working with international teams, suppliers, or regulatory bodies.
Understanding of sustainability and net-zero initiatives in aviation.
Exposure to hydrogen propulsion or battery-electric systems is a plus.
