The role:
Are you an experienced Surveyor ready to take the next step in your career?
We’re looking for a confident and capable Senior Surveyor to join the team, bringing expertise in social housing and a strong track record in managing surveyors and property assessments.
Key Responsibilities:
Lead and support a team of surveyors to ensure high-quality property inspections and reporting
Carry out property condition surveys and ensure accurate assessments using PDA (Personal Digital Assistant) technology
Apply NHF (National Housing Federation) schedule of rates to accurately specify and cost works
Provide expert advice on property condition, maintenance, and improvement plans within a social housing context
Liaise with internal teams and contractors to ensure timely and effective service delivery
What the client is looking for:
Qualified Surveyor (e.g. RICS or equivalent)
Proven experience in a similar senior or lead surveyor role
Background in social housing, with a clear understanding of sector-specific requirements
Strong working knowledge of PDAs and mobile surveying tools
Familiarity with NHF codes and schedules of rates
Experience in managing or mentoring other surveyors
Proficient IT skills
Excellent communication skills
