We are looking for an Assistant Team Manager to join the Early Resolution and Safeguarding team on a fixed term basis to cover 1 year maternity leave within Mental Health Social Care. We are based at the Whiteleaf Centre in Aylesbury and cover the whole of Bucks.

The team are responsible for triaging safeguarding concerns for our mental health community alongside undertaking care act assessments for clients who do  not sit with the community mental health teams.  We also undertake care act assessments acute inpatient wards. You will manage and supervise colleagues.

The role also requires the attendance and contribution at Health and social care meetings alongside the overall  development of the service.

Main duties of the job

You will be managing the social work team that triage safeguarding's. This is a fast paced role that requires knowledge of safeguarding and our statutory responsibilities, 

You will be responsible for the allocation of Care act assessments within the team as well as s42  Safeguarding enquiries. You will also be responsible in the supporting of chairing S42 meetings for your team and  social care colleagues within the Trust

You will be responsible for supervising social workers and assistant social workers. You will manage the day to day running of the team.
