Legal Counsel (Part-Time or Flexible Full-Time)
Location: Hybrid – Flexible UK Location

Salary – Competitive and negotiable depending on experience and hours

We’re looking for a commercially minded and experienced Legal Counsel to join our team on a flexible basis. Whether you're seeking
a full-time role or a part-time arrangement — such as 3 to 4 full days per week or 5 shorter days — we’re open to shaping the role
around the right individual. This is a great opportunity to join a fast-paced and growing food manufacturing group, offering full
autonomy and variety in your work.

Location is also flexible — we operate a hybrid model and are happy to discuss working arrangements that suit you.

About the Role
Reporting to the Head of Legal, you’ll be a trusted advisor to stakeholders across the business, providing expert legal support
across a broad mix of commercial and operational matters. These include contracts, procurement, property, disputes, IP,
compliance, and data protection.

You’ll work closely with senior leadership and operational teams to support sound decision-making, manage risk, and enable the
group’s continued growth.

Key Responsibilities

* Draft, review and negotiate a wide range of commercial agreements, including customer and supplier contracts and
confidentiality agreements.
* Provide practical legal advice to procurement and operational teams.
* Support property-related matters and liaise with external legal partners.
* Advise on and manage commercial disputes including customer claims and supplier issues.
* Provide guidance on intellectual property (IP) and trademark matters.
* Support internal stakeholders with data protection and UK GDPR compliance.
* Contribute to wider legal governance through policies, compliance initiatives, and legal training.

About You

* Qualified UK Solicitor with at least 5 years’ PQE in commercial law, ideally with in-house experience.
* Strong commercial contracts background with a practical, solution-focused approach.
* Broad legal knowledge, including IP, property, data protection, and dispute resolution.
* Able to work independently and communicate legal concepts clearly to non-legal colleagues.
* Proactive, organised, and flexible — comfortable managing a varied and dynamic workload.
