We have an exciting opportunity for a nurse with a passion for data and extensive experience in digitalisation and innovation with a clinical focus.

The trust has previously and will continue to require informatics to provide efficiency, productivity and data driven insights into quality improvement across all specialities.

St Bartholomew’s s comprises the Cancer centre, The Heart and Thorax centre and clinical services division and is a centre of excellence.

The successful post holder will be committed to driving the highest possible standards in digitisation in line with the digital and clinical strategies both across the group and within the Hospital supported by the senior nursing teams and the Director of Nursing & Governance.

The Lead Nurse will provide leadership and aid transformation within the sphere of Informatics, and will ensure nurses and the wider multidisciplinary team are adequately represented, providing the voice of nursing in projects. They will support all nursing specialities, informing informatics projects in regard to key clinical nursing requirements affecting care, quality and safety aspects of the design build and implementation of a contemporaneous electronic patient record.

The role will provide clinical leadership support to nursing colleagues involved in informatics projects. The post holder will continuously review current documentation and processes, working collaboratively with appropriate teams within and outside Bart's Health to maintain a system encompassing patient safety and patients’ experience at the core, while providing an effective and user-friendly digital record.

The post holder will support the development of new strategies, clinical protocols and workflows, and implement training to support use of digital tools. They will ensure synchronicity with existing policies, procedures and guidelines to maintain compliance with governance structures across the Trust.

They will lead, facilitate and be responsible for change management activities required to support the implementation of new systems and technologies, and related processes associated primarily to clinical processes.
