Summary
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated, innovative, and forward-thinking individual to join the team at The Royal London Dental Hospital, part of the Surgical Division. We are seeking a dynamic and experienced professional for the role of Lead Dental Nurse / Charge Nurse, overseeing services within the Dental Institute and Dental Outreach network.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an ambitious dental nurse who is ready to take the next step in their career. The role offers a platform to enhance your leadership skills and professional development, with a clear focus on service improvement, clinical excellence, and patient safety.
As Lead Dental Nurse / Charge Nurse, you will play a vital role in the operational leadership of the dental network, ensuring the smooth and effective delivery of services. You will contribute to quality improvement initiatives, lead on clinical governance matters, and work closely with the wider directorate to maintain the highest standards of care. A key part of this role involves working collaboratively with other providers and partner agencies to support business planning and service development.
Patient safety lies at the heart of everything we do, and you will be responsible for ensuring the consistent delivery of safe, evidence-based care.
The Lead Dental Nurse will have clinical and management responsibility for dental nursing across a number of departments within the Dental Hospital and sites networked to the Dental Hospital, Whipps Cross Hospital, Sir Ludwig Guttman Dental Outreach, Barkantine Dental Outreach and Southend Academic Dental Outreach, liaising with multidisciplinary staff of the dental Institute, the wider trust and external agencies where appropriate.
