Hygiene Operative - Nights


Location: Margate, Kent
Shifts: 4 on/4 off ~ 19:00 - 05:00
Salary: £12.21 + £8.00 per night incentive bonus
Job Type: Temp to Perm

Are you ready to join a well-established and successful bakery company renowned for its exceptional baked goods? Our client is expanding their Hygiene team and are looking for a experienced, dedicated and skilled Hygiene Operatives to help maintain the highest hygiene standards in their facility.

You will be working 4 days on/4 days off. 1 weekend in 4 you will be required to work either a Saturday or Sunday as overtime.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Clean and sanitise production machinery and equipment according to established COSHH protocols and schedules.
  • Conduct routine inspections to ensure cleanliness and hygiene standards are met, with a specific focus on food hygiene.
  • ⚙️ Follow proper cleaning procedures for various types of machinery and equipment to ensure compliance with health regulations.
  • ♻️ Dispose of waste materials and hazardous substances safely and in adherence with guidelines.
  • ️ Ensure all health and safety regulations and guidelines are strictly followed.
  • Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organised work environment.
  • Report any equipment malfunctions or maintenance issues to the appropriate personnel.
  • Assist in implementing and maintaining hygiene protocols and procedures throughout the production process.
  • Follow all company policies and procedures diligently.

Requirements:

  • ✅ Proven experience in a similar role, preferably within a food production or manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of COSHH regulations and food hygiene practices is essential.
  • Ability to operate cleaning equipment and machinery safely and effectively.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions and protocols accurately.
  • ⏰ Excellent time management skills and ability to prioritise tasks effectively.
  • Punctual and reliable, demonstrating a strong work ethic.
  • Physically fit and able to perform repetitive tasks in a demanding role.
  • ️ Good communication skills with the ability to work well within a team and independently.
