Job Title: English Lecturer (Temporary, Full-Time)

Location: Isleworth, West London (TW7)

Hours: 24 teaching hours per week

Rate: £38 per hour

Contract Type: Temporary

We are seeking an experienced and motivated English Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to post-16 learners. This full-time temporary role offers 24 teaching hours per week at a well-established college in Isleworth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and confident in delivering both Functional Skills and GCSE English.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with curriculum requirements
  • Support learners with varying abilities to achieve successful outcomes
  • Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance
  • Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of course materials
  • Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance the learning experience

Requirements:

  • Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
  • Degree in English or a related subject
  • Experience teaching English in post-16 or further education settings
  • Strong understanding of Functional Skills and/or GCSE English curriculum
  • Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
