Job Title: English Lecturer (Temporary, Full-Time)
Location: Isleworth, West London (TW7)
Hours: 24 teaching hours per week
Rate: £38 per hour
Contract Type: Temporary
We are seeking an experienced and motivated English Lecturer to deliver high-quality teaching to post-16 learners. This full-time temporary role offers 24 teaching hours per week at a well-established college in Isleworth. The ideal candidate will be passionate about education and confident in delivering both Functional Skills and GCSE English.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver engaging English lessons that align with curriculum requirements
- Support learners with varying abilities to achieve successful outcomes
- Track and assess student progress, offering constructive feedback and guidance
- Maintain accurate records and contribute to the development of course materials
- Collaborate with colleagues to continuously enhance the learning experience
Requirements:
- Recognised teaching qualification (e.g., PGCE, Cert Ed)
- Degree in English or a related subject
- Experience teaching English in post-16 or further education settings
- Strong understanding of Functional Skills and/or GCSE English curriculum
- Enhanced DBS on the update service (or willingness to obtain one)
