Overview
We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Science Teacher to join our educational team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in science education and a commitment to fostering a stimulating learning environment for students. This role involves teaching science concepts to students while integrating behaviour management strategies and promoting critical thinking skills.
Duties
• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that cover various scientific disciplines, ensuring alignment with the curriculum.
• Educate students on fundamental scientific principles, encouraging curiosity and inquiry-based learning.
• Utilise effective behaviour management techniques to maintain a positive classroom atmosphere conducive to learning.
• Provide tutoring support to students who require additional assistance in understanding scientific concepts.
• Incorporate elements of physical education into lessons where appropriate, promoting overall student well-being.
• Assess student progress through regular evaluations and provide constructive feedback to enhance their learning experience.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment for all students, considering diverse backgrounds and learning needs.
• Collaborate with fellow educators and staff to develop interdisciplinary projects that enhance the educational experience.
Requirements
• A degree in Science or a related field, along with relevant teaching qualifications.
• Experience working with children, particularly in an educational or childcare setting, is highly desirable.
• Strong skills in behaviour management and the ability to create an engaging classroom environment.
• Familiarity with early childhood education principles is advantageous.
• Proficiency in tutoring and supporting students with varying levels of understanding in science subjects.
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, including proofreading abilities for educational materials.
• A passion for teaching and a commitment to fostering a love of science among students.
