JOB DESCRIPTION
JOB TITLE: Asbestos Supervisor
REPORTS TO: Contracts Manager / SHEQ / Operations Manager
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
➢ The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
➢ Asbestos: The Licensed Contractors Guide
➢ Asbestos Licensing
➢ ASB 5 Notifications
➢ Working to the Plan of Work / Method Statement ensuring understanding of
the working team
➢ Supervise and coordinate activities of workers engaged in removing asbestos
➢ Assist workers in removal activities
➢ Complete and maintain project and inspection records
➢ Monitor and inspect quality of work during projects and record findings
➢ Carry out reviews of job specifications
➢ Inspects work site, and confer with the SHEQ Manager and Contract Managers
➢ Carry out observational audits and highlight training needs
➢ Ensure that legislative requirements are always undertaken maintained
➢ Undergo specific training applicable to on site tasks when required (i.e. MEWPS, Confined Space Training etc)
➢ Pre use Respirator Checks
➢ Medical Surveillance
➢ Annual Asbestos Refresher Training
➢ Continued Personnel Development
➢ Attending Safety Briefings / meetings when required
➢ Share knowledge and best practice techniques with members of the working team
➢ Be part of working team, be able to work under supervision, be a team player

JOB TITLE: Asbestos Operative
REPORTS TO: On Site Asbestos Supervisor / Contracts Manager / SHEQ / Operations Manager
KEY TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
➢ Health and Safety at Work etc Act 1974
➢ The Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012
➢ Asbestos The Licensed Contractors Guide
➢ Asbestos Licensing
➢ ASB 5 Notifications
➢ Working to the Plan of Work / Method Statement
➢ Build enclosures and ensure all control mechanisms are in place before work commences
➢ Read and understand the plan of works and risk assessments for each job you are assigned to
➢ Record work activity carried out in relation to all asbestos tasks and any disposed materials
➢ Ensure site / van cleanliness during and upon completion of work
➢ To deliver service in accordance with all internal procedures and the H&S Policy
➢ Ensure that legislative requirements are always undertaken maintained
➢ Undergo specific training applicable to on site tasks when required (i.e. MEWPS, Confined Space Training etc)
➢ Pre use Respirator Checks
➢ Medical Surveillance
➢ Annual Asbestos Refresher Training
➢ Continued Personnel Development

Licence/Certification:
