Pay rate: £17.79 per hour PAYE

The role:

On behalf of a local council, we are seeking an Organisational Development Officer to design, deliver and evaluate organisational development and well-being programmes and initiatives so that the Council has well led and managed people with the right capabilities, skills, and attitudes in the right place at the right time.

You will also undertake project and development work relating to organisational development strategies and initiatives.

You should have good Knowledge and understanding of management and organisational theory Organisational change, performance improvement & cost benefit analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist in the formulation and delivery of organisational cultural initiatives and techniques to increase employee engagement and embed values and behaviours to support the Council’s delivery of the Workforce Strategy and its commitments as outlined in the Employee Deal.
Deliver and monitor well-being strategies and initiatives for employees to ensure a safe, healthy, and supportive work environment which enables the workforce to contribute effectively, reach their potential and maximise attendance. Track the performance and contribution of staff wellbeing
strategies and report.
Lead and develop the Mental Health First Aiders group to support the wellbeing of all staff across the Council.
Support the staff champion community to ensure that they are fully engaged, representative and enabled to support culture change and the delivery of the Workforce Strategy
Support the delivery of team building, engagement initiatives and leadership events for managers and all employees to embed values and behaviours within the Council so that the workforce is fully engaged, motivated and resilient.
Lead on the delivery of the corporate induction programme, ensuring it is aligned to the vision for workplace culture, values, behaviours, and employee deal.



What the client is looking for:

High level skills to analyse information/data, identify trends, write engagement pieces and present information clearly to a range of audiences
Knowledge and experience of management and organisational theory Organisational change, performance improvement & cost benefit analysis.
Understanding of servicing meetings
Member of the Chartered Institute of Personnel and Development (CIPD) - desirable
Post qualification experience in an HR development setting, delivering culture transformation programmes - desirable
Previous experience of delivering staff engagement and wellbeing initiatives
High degree of interpersonal skills
Organisational development concepts and techniques
