Come join our new triage team for District Nursing, for a 6 month fixed term contract for maternity leave cover until January 2026.
We are a team of cohesive and supportive nursing and administration staff that have come together to create a brand new venture to ensure our patients are receiving the best care in the county.
You will provide leadership to a team of staff all recruited for the triage desk alone, the team all have different experiences to share.
The successful candidate will be responsible for triaging patients from a waiting list, providing leadership and support to others.
Main duties of the jobAs a Band 6 senior triage nurse you will be responsible for the day to day management of the triage desk, including management and training of the staff and ensuring there is adequate cover to provide a safe and efficient service.
You will need to be a highly motivated practitioner with strong leadership skills, be a good problem solver and demonstrate effective communication skills. The team are supportive and committed to delivering high patient quality care, where referrals can be complex, diverse and challenging.

Our bases are Abingdon Community hospital.
The services currently operates 7 days a week, 365 days a year, with core hours of 08.00-18.30.
Shift patterns are 08.00-16.00, 10.30-18.30 or 08.00-18.30.
