We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Workshop Technician to be part of the Advanced Manufacturing Research Centre Training Centre Team.
You will join the delivery support team and will be responsible for the workshop maintenance and technical support in the delivery of the Engineering Training.
This role will be based at the AMRC Training Centre.

You will
● Be Qualified to Level 3 in engineering (BTEC/NVQ/C&G/HNC) and/or relevant experience.
● To possess significant experience of technical work within a Manufacturing Workshop environment or an apprenticeship workshop delivery setting.
● To have knowledge of various Health & Safety and Quality systems
● To have effective verbal and written communication skills, both written and verbal, report writing skills, experience of delivering presentations, communicating to staff and stakeholders at all levels
● To have excellent time management and organisational skills and an understanding of meeting deadlines
As a Workshop Technician you will be responsible for the workshop maintenance and technical support in the delivery of the Engineering Training. Along with this the candidate will be the point of contact for any facilities issues for the training centre and will liaise with the necessary contacts to resolve any problems. You will also be expected to help develop and support any workshop delivery, commercial delivery and enrichment activities. Engineering staff are expected to support enrichment activities and any Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths events to promote the AMRC Training Centre.
