We are seeking a talented and dedicated Lead Cook to join our friendly and committed team.
The Role:
As the Lead Cook, you will take a key leadership role in managing the daily catering operations at Hayesfield, ensuring the smooth and efficient running of our kitchen. You’ll lead a small team of catering staff in delivering nutritious, appealing meals that support the wellbeing and dietary needs of our diverse school community. This role offers a great opportunity to showcase your culinary and organisational skills in a vibrant school setting.
You will be responsible for:
Day-to-Day Operations: Oversee the preparation, cooking and serving of meals, ensuring excellent service and consistent quality.
Team Leadership: Manage and support catering staff, encouraging a positive team culture and high standards.
Food Safety & Hygiene: Ensure full compliance with food hygiene and safety regulations, including HACCP and COSHH.
Health & Safety: Monitor and maintain kitchen health and safety procedures.
