Summary
Your new company
I am currently partnered with a real estate company who are seeking a General Manager to take the reins and run their new high spec flagship building in Central London. This role is suitable for someone who is motivated, driven, resilient and keen to progress quickly and create a career opportunity for the right role. Please note this role requires being in the office 5 days a week.
Your new role
- Marketing and advertising, filling vacant spaces, negotiating and enforcing leases, maintaining and securing premises.
- Ongoing management of tenants' property queries and terminations of leases.
- Setting up and maintaining processes and procedures internally
- Dealing with the financial aspect of property management, including rental invoices, expenses, preparing an annual budget, assisting accountants with VAT returns.
- Building maintenance, including managing contracts with maintenance services, supervising repairs, arranging regular safety and emergency procedure checks.
- Keeping all records and logs up to date.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Strong organisational, prioritisation and time management skills.
- Good customer service skills in a client-facing role
- The ability to remain calm and professional when dealing with challenging situations
- The ability to multitask and work well under pressure both individually and as part of the wider team
What you'll need to succeed
- Degree in real estate, property management, business administration or a related field preferred.
- Experience as a property manager or in a similar role is mandatory.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office
- Working knowledge of property regulations.
- Understanding of accounting principles.
