This position is within The Bridges Partnership, our Domestic Abuse Service, a partnership between Jigsaw Support, Talk, Listen Change and Diversity Matters Northwest.
The partnership supports Tameside residents who are victims or survivors of domestic abuse, children who are impacted by domestic abuse and those causing harm. This service is commissioned by Tameside Council.
The service includes a Safe Accommodation offer supporting domestic abuse victims in refuge and dispersed properties in the community, a children’s team, supporting children and young people affected by domestic abuse, an IDVA team, supporting high risk victims and a busy Women and Families Centre offering group and one to one support.
Role Information:
As Team Manager, you will oversee the Women and Families Centre, and the Women’s Alliance Contract.You will be responsible for the day to day running of the centre and work collaboratively with existing and new partners and stakeholders, so they have a presence and contribute to the programme of activities and events, ensuring a high-quality offer is in place to meet the needs of the women.
You will manage a team of keyworkers and a centre coordinator, coordinating case allocation, maintaining safe caseloads, robust risk management and ensure continuity and quality in line with quality standards, funding requirements and frameworks. You will be the lead in crisis situations and provide advice and guidance on safeguarding and information sharing concerns.
You will consult with service users in order to evaluate and improve the offer to meet the needs of those affected by domestic abuse.
You will be responsible for preparing reports across all across all areas of responsibility for internal purposes and to commissioners including Tameside Council and the Greater Manchester Women’s Alliance (GMWSA) contract.
