SEN Outreach Tutor (Buckinghamshire)
ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Prospero Teaching is seeking passionate and experienced SEN Outreach Tutors to deliver bespoke 1:1 education packages to young people who are not currently in school. Starting this September, you'll work with pupils across Buckinghamshire for 10-15 hours per week.
This is a unique opportunity for educators who want to step outside the classroom and make a genuine difference. Many of the students you'll support have been out of education for a while and face a range of SEN and SEMH challenges. Your role will be to rebuild their confidence, reignite their love for learning, and offer the structure and encouragement they need to thrive.
You'll have the freedom to create tailored lessons that meet each student's needs, with full support from the Prospero team to help track progress and ensure long-term success.
POSITION DETAILS
- Location - Various locations across Buckinghamshire
- Position - SEN Outreach Tutor
- Type of Work - 1:1 tuition with disengaged or out-of-school learners
- Start Date - September 2025
- Duration / Likely Duration - Ongoing, depending on student progress
- Contract Type - Temporary (with ongoing opportunities)
- Full-time / Part-time - Part-time (10-15 hours per week)
- Rate of Pay - From £25 per hour
- Hours - Sessions typically run between 1 to 3 hours
EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS
- QTS, QTLS, PGCE, EYFS or equivalent
- Minimum 6 months of experience working in a UK school
- Experience supporting students with SEN, SEMH, ASD, or ADHD
- Up-to-date Safeguarding training (desirable, but not essential)
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:
- Hold Right to Work in the UK
- Hold an Enhanced Child Barred List DBS certificate registered with the Update Service (or be willing to apply)
- Be able to provide two professional references covering the last two years
