Role Responsibilities

As a Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant, you will:

  • Provide one-to-one and small group support for pupils with additional needs, such as autism, ADHD, or speech and emotional challenges


  • Collaborate with class teachers to adapt learning activities and resources to meet individual needs


  • Help pupils build confidence, independence, and communication skills


  • Support positive behaviour management and foster a calm, inclusive classroom environment


  • Monitor and report student progress to the SENCo and wider teaching team


    What We’re Looking For

    We’re seeking a motivated and empathetic graduate who meets the following criteria:

    • A recent graduate with a 2:1 or above in Psychology, Education, or a related field


    • Experience working with children or young people with SEN (in school, care, or volunteer settings)


    • A calm, patient, and flexible approach to supporting individual needs


    • A genuine interest in a long-term career in education, therapy, or child development
