Overview: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

Position: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant
Location: Enfield, North London
Start Date: September 2025
Contract Type: Full-time, term-time only
Working Pattern: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–3:30pm
Contract Length: Until July 2026 (initially)
Pay: Up to £540 per week (depending on experience and qualifications)

Key Duties: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• Support pupils on a 1:1 basis or in small intervention groups
• Assist the class teacher and SENCO in delivering targeted support strategies
• Adapt learning materials to suit individual learning styles and needs
• Monitor progress and provide feedback to teaching staff
• Help maintain a positive, inclusive, and structured classroom environment

What You’ll Need to Succeed: Graduate SEN Teaching Assistant

• A degree in Psychology, Education, or a related subject (2:1 or above preferred)
• A keen interest in working with children who have additional learning or behavioural needs
• Previous experience supporting young people (e.g., mentoring, volunteering, tutoring) is desirable but not essential
• Excellent communication skills and a compassionate approach
• A strong work ethic, patience, and a team-player mentality
