The University of West of Scotland have an exciting opportunity to join our Campus Services team as a Security Patrol Attendant.
Operating under the direction of the Security Team Leader, the post holder will implement the University’s security procedures ensuring that all stakeholders have a safe and welcoming environment.
Ensuring that security services are delivered effectively and are customer focused, the successful candidate will be responsible for protecting the property against theft and support the observation of external suppliers and take action when necessary. By taking a proactive approach and using their own initiative they will make sure that all regulations regarding security and safety are being adhered to throughout the university.
The successful candidate should have the following:
• A good general education is required with three standard grade qualifications (preferably including English and Maths) or equivalent
• Current valid qualification in First Aid at Work or willing to work towards this
• Experience of working in a customer focused role with front of house responsibilities.
• An understanding of providing professional and customer focused security services.
• Ability to communicate with customers and colleagues in a professional and polite manner.
