Work with York Limited are assisting a York based public sector client, with a brand-new service, Together We Can. This is to recruit qualified Children’s Residential Support Workers, providing support to children and young people aged between 11 - 17 across the city.
This role is for waking nights covering 10pm to 7am
The pay is £17.40 per hour, during the week and £18.98 per hour for the weekend.
This role involves:
Working as part of a specialist team to support children, young people and their families who are on the edge of care, in care or leaving care.
Playing a crucial role in a young person’s life, acting as a key worker and developing meaningful relationships built on compassion, respect, and trust.
Providing ongoing support to young people and their families who are on the edge of care or supporting them back to their family home or supported lodgings.
Providing exceptional care and support when a young person requires coordinated support, whilst living in a residential setting.
Supporting a young person requiring therapeutic care, to access the relevant services and provide oversight and pathway co-ordination in and out of health services, in conjunction with multiagency care plans.
You will:
Have experience in supporting young adults with complex health care needs.
A driving license and a vehicle for transport.
Be eligible to work in the UK
Hold an Enhanced Children’s current valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undertake an online enhanced DBS check
Desirable:
Level 3-4 Children’s and Family practitioner
Level 3-4 certificate in residential childcare
