Summary
We have re opened a well established day nursery under new management! Sunny Skies Day Nursery is looking for an experienced, passionate and friendly nursery practitioner who would love to work with us to re-create the success of this much loved nursery!
Skills & knowledge required
Professional and self-motivated
Knowledge of the Early Years Framework
At least 2 year experience within childcare
Eagerness to learn and develop on the job
Creativity and initiative
Job Description
Operate a key worker system.
Be responsible for all the children in the room.
Make sure the children are in a safe environment and that all their needs and requirements are met.
Make sure all staff in room completes all development books, regularly.
Work on a shift rota basis.
Be punctual and smartly dressed according to the uniform policy.
Be a good team player.
Willing to learn and participate in training courses
Participate in completing all tasks and cleaning in nursery.
Work with assistants to care for children.
Work alongside students/apprentices and assist them with any course work they need to complete.
Meet other professionals to assist in children’s development.
Understand and know about the policies of the nursery.
Liaise with parents during nursery hours and assist them with any queries they may have about their child’s development.
Attend and complete parents evening on a regular basis.
Attend all staff meetings on a monthly basis.
Overseeing the efficient upkeep of the building and maintenance / stock of equipment, furnishings and fittings and reporting them to the nursery manager.
Additional requirements:
You need a minimum of a level 3 or equivalent in childcare (certificate required)
We require 2 professional references
You will need to have a clear DBS check
The right to work within the UK
