We deliver money on time and in the form that best works for our citizens so that they can use it to help address their specific needs.
We require a Lead Business Relationship Manager Business Relationship Manager with knowledge of payment and accounting services. Responsible for the Digital Payment Services Business Relationship Manager team and function, you will lead on understanding stakeholder, consumer, supplier and partner demand in the DWP payment and accounting landscape. You will lead and share insight on engagements with senior stakeholders to inform current and future Digital solutions, to ensure maximum value and benefits, and own strategic supplier and partner relationships. You will maintain a high degree of visibility within the business and be an expert at establishing, navigating and enhancing internal and external stakeholder relationships.
As Lead Business Relationship Manager in Digital Payment Services, you will:
- Have dual focus on both external outwards facing demand and relationships as well as those internally across DWP.
- Operate as the strategic business partner who owns and nurtures stakeholder relationships with our existing and future 3rd party partners.
- Manage, influence and negotiate critical stakeholder and commercial relationships to leverage industry best practice and maximise value for money for DWP.
- Use knowledge of the DWP payments and accounting ecosystem to effectively prioritise industry and commercial insight and influence and feed this into product strategy and technical approaches and solutions.
- Be the strategic interface between Digital Payment Services, Digital Portfolio Teams and DWP Finance Group.
- Co-ordinate and lead your team of Business Relationship Managers to manage and prioritise the demand pipeline into Digital Payment Services as well as internal demand created from our own product and support teams.
- Be responsible for the ownership, operation and review of the demand management process and forums.
- Be responsible for ensuring that all demand and activity is appropriately funded and support the Deputy Director with Digital Payment Services fiscal planning, forecasting and financial management. Commercial and recruitment activity will also fall under the remit of your BRM function.
While not essential, having the following in place at the start of the role would be beneficial:
- ITIL 4 Foundation certification
- ITIL BRM certification
