Summary

It is an exciting time for Bedford Borough Council, as a Licensing Compliance Officer, you will play a vital role in supporting the Councils licensing functions.



Reporting to the Licensing Team Leader, this role will involve the enforcement of a wide range of licensing legislation, primarily the Licensing Act 2003, Gambling Act 2005 and the licensing of hackney carriage and private hire drivers, vehicles and operators.



You will be conducting compliance checks and inspections , investigating alleged offences under the legislation and preparing and presenting reports at licensing hearings. Your work will help ensure our communities are safe, fair, and well I know I only just found regulated.


This is an exciting opportunity to join a very busy and dedicated team dealing with a range of interesting and complex functions.
