Summary

Environmental Health Officer (Health, Safety & Licensing)

£40,476 - £43,693 pro rata per annum (pay award pending)

An exciting opportunity has arisen at Bedford Borough Council for a part-time Environmental Health Officer/Practitioner within the Health, Safety & Licensing team, responsible for enforcing a range of regulatory functions associated to workplace health and safety, and licensed premises and functions such animal welfare licensing.



This is an exciting and challenging post, that will allow you to experience a range of environmental health functions with opportunities to experience and support wider regulatory operations across the service. You must be a positive, highly motivated and organised individual with the ability to deliver against a challenging and rewarding work plan.



You will be joining a busy, friendly, supportive and professional team within a forward-thinking and innovative service which is already utilising technology to enhance the service we deliver and provide its officers with efficient and modern working practices supporting a great work life balance.



Ideally you will have experience of operating within a similar role, with a range of associated knowledge and investigative skills to help protect the public and legitimate businesses.
