Lead Change, Promote Health, and Build Stronger Communities

Are you a passionate and knowledgeable harm reduction professional ready to take the next step in your career? We’re looking for a Harm Reduction Senior Practitioner to lead a dedicated team and drive forward health-focused interventions across Harrow - both within our service and out in the community.

The Role
You will work from the service site and, at times, across the local community, undertaking a wide range of promotion and development of partnerships to make our service more accessible.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a thriving service and help build an ever larger network of partnerships to highlight harm reduction and health promotion across the borough. We will be looking for the successful applicant to co-ordinate across those partnerships focussing on key areas such as reducing alcohol related harm, safer injecting practices, opioid substitute treatment knowledge and smoking cessation; they will have good knowledge of these areas.

You will line manage a team delivering a variety of health orientated interventions, encouraging development and learning both within the team and also our community partners.

The Service
Via Harrow is a fully integrated substance misuse service, providing clinical and psychosocial interventions from a main treatment hub in Harrow and from a range of satellite services in the borough. The team actively promotes recovery and work with individuals that are directly and indirectly affected by substance misuse, working with the local community to improve the health, wellbeing and functioning of Harrow residents, irrespective of circumstance.

This service is an established Community Integrated service that is well performing and highly functioning, it is CQC registered to provide a range of clinical interventions including BBV & health interventions, OST, and community detox alongside a comprehensive psychosocial and recovery focussed model.

Location
Harrow Recovery Centre is based at 97 Pinner Road, HA1 4ET, close to Harrow-on-the-Hill tube station.

To see the generous range of benefits we offer at Via including 30 days annual leave for all new starters, our health and wellbeing initiatives, financial perks and development opportunities – visit our Benefits Package

At Via we are dedicated to building a diverse, inclusive, and authentic workplace, so if you’re excited about this role but your past experience doesn’t align perfectly with every qualification in the job description, we encourage you to apply anyway. You may be just the right candidate for this or other roles.

The closing date for applications is Sunday 24 August at midnight.
