Retail Quality Assurance Analyst

Location: Doncaster or Wimbledon (Hybrid)

Contract Type: 12-Month Contract

Working Hours: Monday to Friday

Start Date: ASAP

Pay: £300 per day (via Umbrella)

Role Overview

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Retail Quality Assurance Analyst to join a dynamic team within the Chief Controls Office. This role supports the delivery of high-quality oversight across retail operations, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and internal policies. The successful candidate will play a key role in identifying risks, improving processes, and ensuring positive customer outcomes.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct quality assurance testing of retail processes to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements (UK and ROI).
  • Perform outcome testing to identify actual or potential customer harm.
  • Analyse data to identify trends, root causes, and areas for improvement.
  • Maintain and update testing records and assurance frameworks.
  • Support the preparation of Management Information (MI) and reports for senior leadership.
  • Collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to promote high-quality performance.
  • Report findings and incidents, ensuring timely escalation and resolution.
  • Review and suggest improvements to manual processes and administrative tasks.
  • Maintain risk logs and follow up on outstanding actions.
  • Conduct root cause analysis of risk events and support mitigation efforts.

Skills & Experience

Essential:

  • Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks (e.g., DISP, CONC 7, Consumer Duty, Vulnerable Customers).
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail and analytical thinking.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Proven ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines.
  • Team player with a proactive and systematic approach to problem-solving.

Desirable:

  • Experience with Tableau and/or Alteryx.
  • Familiarity with complaint handling procedures and DISP regulations.

Education & Qualifications

Essential:

  • GCSEs, A-Levels, Degree, or equivalent

Desirable:

  • Specialist Automotive Finance certification (or similar)
