The purpose of the role is to contribute to the Trust wide development of high-quality education for Bart’s Health. Supporting the Nursing and Midwifery Education Team in the delivery of high-quality patient care by providing and facilitating excellent training and development opportunities for the pre-registration nursing and midwifery workforce and other Health Care Professions when required.
The aim of this post is to facilitate and support the B7 Nurse Education Practitioners to ensure the provision of high quality practice learning experiences for undergraduate adult nursing students and Student Nursing Associate. This being part of the career pathways across Bart’s Health. The post holder will develop clinical environments that encourage and assure learning that is fit for purpose in partnership with Key Practice Assessors, Practice Assessors, Practice Supervisors and Senior Clinical staff. The post holder will work within nursing across the organisation 80% of the time working alongside students in clinical practice. Also delivering learning in Healthcare to meet the changing needs and new ways of delivering education in practice. This is inclusive of virtual learning and e –learning.
The post holder will provide specialist clinical and educational knowledge and provide clinical supervision and advice to ensure effective communication and support to facilitate and ensure the provision of high-quality education and training experience to undergraduate students.
The post holder will also work as a part of the Barts Health Nurse, Midwifery and AHP Education Team in close liaison with Nurse Education facilitators [NEF] and Nurse Education Practitioners [NEP] across the Trust to provide the education and training to support workforce and service development.

Although this position is a 12 months fixed-term contract, the actual contract duration will be adjusted to account for the time taken to advertise the post, complete the hiring process, and finalise pre-employment checks. This means the contract will begin when the candidate starts the role and may be slightly shorter than 12 months
Please note: When calculating the basic salary for sponsorship, HCAS (High-Cost Area Supplement) is not included for non-medical roles. This ensures fairness and consistency within our organisation, as some of our sites fall under inner HCAS, while others are classified as outer HCAS.
