Contract: Long-Term, Temp to Perm
An inclusive and supportive primary school in Moseley is looking for an experienced SEN Teaching Assistant to join their team in September. This role involves working closely with pupils who have higher needs, including autism, ADHD, and complex learning or behavioural difficulties.
You'll be providing dedicated 1:1 and small group support, following EHCPs and working alongside experienced SEN staff to ensure pupils access learning in a safe, structured and encouraging environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide 1:1 and small group support for pupils with higher-level SEN
- Implement strategies tailored to individual EHCPs
- Use visuals, sensory tools and structured routines to aid learning
- Support emotional regulation and promote independence
- Liaise with SENCO, class teachers and external professionals
What We're Looking For:
- Strong experience supporting pupils with high needs SEN (autism, ADHD, behavioural challenges)
- Confidence in using structured interventions and behaviour strategies
- A calm, patient and consistent approach
- School based SEN experience is essential
- Team Teach or similar training is an advantage (not essential)
