Are you looking for a new & exciting role in Paediatrics? We are looking for an enthusiastic team player to join our Paediatric Dietetic Team at East Sussex Healthcare Trust. This is an exciting & innovative post working within paediatrics between primary & secondary care across East Sussex. Applications are invited from motivated HCPC registered dietitians who are keen to advance their clinical, professional and leadership skills within Paediatrics. Ideally you will have a minimum of 12 months general dietetic practice within the NHS as a Band 5 Dietitian and be keen to move into the world of Paediatrics in a Band 5-6 progressor role.
Our Nutrition and Dietetics department includes Trainee Advanced Practitioner Dietitians, Registered Dietitians, Dietetic Apprentices, Assistants, and Administrators. The team is based across multiple sites, including Eastbourne, Hastings, Bexhill and Uckfield.
East Sussex boasts a beautiful coastline, beaches and the South Downs National Park. We are close to Brighton and have rail links to London.
If you would like to work in Paediatric dietetics, enjoy working as part of a collaborative team, and are committed to delivering outstanding nutritional support to patients, we would be delighted to hear from you.
Upon your successful appointment, you will hold a clinical caseload, and work in a range of settings including paediatric ward, special care baby unit and outpatient clinics. You’ll play a key role in helping us develop new resources and improving the paediatric dietetics service for our patients. The post holder will also be required to attend meetings or training across the wider county of East Sussex therefore being a car driver / owner is essential for this post.
The successful candidate will be responsible for supporting a varied paediatric caseload, across a variety of clinical conditions. You will be part of a friendly, supportive, professional team, and will be fully supported to develop your professional skills and areas of special clinical interest. We offer regular supervision and competency training opportunities for your ongoing professional development, along with improving patient care. Where identified in your appraisal and in line with service development we also have access to post graduate university funding for individual masters modules for professional development.
The paediatric team forms part of our close knit & supportive Dietetic Department that includes over 40 clinicians & associated staff, supporting the specialities of paediatrics, diabetes, intensive care, inpatients, acute rehabilitation, general outpatients & community nutrition support.
