A career opportunity has arisen for an Injection Moulding Technician at Centaur Manufacturing.
Centaur is an established manufacturing business based in Redditch, Worcestershire since 1974. Our principle activity is the manufacture of PVC-U cable management systems supplied to the electrical industry via 400 electrical distributors throughout the United Kingdom.
The Centaur injection moulding section currently operates 16 hours per day, 5 days per week (6am - 2pm and 2pm - 10pm). Periodically, due to increasing business demands, the section has been required to work 24 hours per day (6am - 2pm, 2pm - 10pm and 10pm - 6am) and therefore the successful candidate needs to be flexible.
We are looking for a skilled and motivated individual to join our team. This is ideal for someone with ambition wishing to progress within the production team.
Responsibilities in brief:
Hands on working with injection moulded products and machinery
Optimise plant output and quality
Ensure safe working practises
Organise and control labour and materials
Shift production reporting
Day to day maintenance of plant and equipment
The ideal candidate will have hands on experience of PVC injection moulding, good people skills and a proven track record of motivating and managing co- workers. A working knowledge of Lean and JIT techniques would be an advantage.
