Mitie Telecoms is a leading provider of acquisition, design and construction (ADC) services, temporary mobile infrastructure, and telecoms facilities maintenance. As we continue to grow, we're looking for a skilled and motivated Design Authority to join our team and help deliver the next generation of telecoms solutions.
What Will You Be Doing?As a Design Authority, you'll play a central role in our design operations. You'll translate customer requirements into clear, actionable design guidelines and work closely with engineers, CAD teams, and clients to ensure quality, consistency, and innovation across all projects.
Key responsibilities include:
-Interpreting and analysing customer design specifications.
-Creating and managing project-specific design guidelines.
-Reviewing CAD outputs to ensure quality and compliance.
-Leading internal design meetings and supporting technical teams.
-Representing Mitie in client meetings and managing expectations.
-Monitoring First Time Right (FTR) metrics and reporting on performance.
-Maintaining internal and client-facing project and financial databases.
What Are We Looking For?We're looking for someone with a strong technical background and a passion for delivering high-quality design solutions. You'll be confident working with a range of stakeholders and ready to take ownership of complex design challenges.
You'll ideally bring:
-At least 5 years of experience in a similar design or telecoms role.
-A solid understanding of telecoms infrastructure and design processes.
-Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills.
-Commercial awareness and attention to detail.
-A proactive, adaptable approach with a focus on continuous improvement.
