LMS Application Specialist – Remote Working with Purpose

Location: Remote, with occasional fully paid travel

Contract Type: Permanent

Hours: Full Time

Salary: £38,414.20

Working Style: Flexible hours and remote-first


About the Role


An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Learning Management System (LMS) Application Specialist to lead the delivery, management, and development of a learning platform used across a group of organisations.


This is a key role within a forward-thinking learning and development team, where you will work on enhancing digital learning experiences, supporting users, and partnering with both internal stakeholders and external providers to deliver high-quality training content.


The role is fully remote, with occasional travel for in-person meetings or training sessions – all travel expenses are covered.


Key Responsibilities


  • Lead the day-to-day management and development of the Learning Pool LMS
  • Design and create digital learning content using authoring tools such as Articulate or Adapt
  • Provide support and guidance to LMS users across multiple organisations
  • Ensure strong collaboration between Learning & Development and operational teams
  • Liaise with external content providers to source or co-create engaging eLearning resources
  • Analyse LMS data to inform training needs and improve user experience
  • Support the design and implementation of multimedia learning resources
  • Occasionally travel within the UK (fully expensed)


Skills and Experience


  • Substantial experience in a similar LMS-focused role
  • Strong proficiency with LMS platforms (Learning Pool, Moodle, or Totara preferred)
  • Experience designing and managing digital learning content
  • Skilled in eLearning authoring tools such as Adapt and Articulate
  • Understanding of online learning technologies and user needs
  • Strong communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Degree-level qualification or equivalent, ideally in graphic design or a related field( Desirable but not essential)
  • Willingness to travel when required
