Description
The Homeless Housing Coordinator (SO2) plays a critical role in addressing the pressing issue of homelessness within our community by overseeing and coordinating efforts to provide stable housing solutions for individuals experiencing homelessness. This position requires a compassionate leader with a strong understanding of the complexities surrounding homelessness, including the social, health, and economic factors that contribute to housing instability. The Coordinator will work closely with various stakeholders, including government agencies, non-profit organizations, and community groups, to develop and implement effective housing programs and initiatives. This role involves a significant amount of outreach, advocacy, and collaboration, requiring excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously. The Homeless Housing Coordinator will also be responsible for collecting and analyzing data to track the effectiveness of housing programs, ensuring that resources are allocated efficiently and effectively. By fostering relationships with community partners, the Coordinator will help create a supportive network that addresses the root causes of homelessness and empowers individuals to regain stability in their lives. Responsibilities
Coordinate housing placement services for homeless individuals and families.
Develop and maintain relationships with local shelters, housing authorities, and support services.
Assist clients in navigating the housing application process and securing stable housing.
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of housing programs and initiatives.
Provide case management support for individuals experiencing homelessness.
Organize community outreach events to raise awareness and resources for homelessness.
Collaborate with local stakeholders to advocate for policies that support affordable housing solutions.
Requirements
Bachelor's degree in social work, public administration, or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working in homelessness services or housing coordination.
Strong understanding of local housing policies and social services.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Proficient in data collection and analysis to assess program effectiveness.
Compassionate, empathetic approach to working with vulnerable populations.

End Time: 17:00
Pay Per Hour: £29.35
Location: Southwark, South East London
