Crynodeb
We have vacancies for permanent Crop Workers. You will be responsible for tending our valuable plants to a standard that optimises production. You must be fit, dexterous, capable of working in hot conditions and at height on a trolley. Experience is not essential although a basic knowledge of Horticulture would be an advantage.
We are looking for people who want to get involved in their work and can achieve the high standards of work expected. We provide on-the-job training. This is combined with having commercial hourly rates and a Crop Scheme available which allows enhanced rates of pay based on performance through the main season. DETAILS
• Working in commercial glasshouses
• Working Monday to Friday. Monday to Thursday 8 hours per day and Friday 7 hours = 39 hours per week, with some overtime (Some Saturdays will be required)
• Basic pay per hour will be subject to the National Minimum Wage and National Living Wage. The National Living Wage is currently £12.21.
• There is a Crop Scheme that runs through the main season, speed and quality is required here.
• A 12-week Crop Work Training plan from the beginning of your employment
• Instructions to be obtained from Team Leader
• Start times vary with the seasonal fluctuation in light and are between 06.00 – 07.30
• The role will require a flexible approach to work; this is due to the seasonal fluctuations in workload
• Must have own transport due to the company’s location
• We require committed, reliable people with a responsible attitude to work
