The Housing Caretaker LBR3 - Facilities & Environment is a vital role responsible for maintaining the safety, cleanliness, and overall upkeep of residential facilities. This position plays a crucial part in ensuring that housing environments are not only functional but also welcoming for residents. The Housing Caretaker will work closely with management and maintenance teams to identify and resolve issues, as well as perform daily cleaning and maintenance tasks. A focus on customer service is essential, as the caretaker will interact with residents and address their concerns to create a positive living atmosphere. This role requires a proactive approach to problem-solving and excellent communication skills, as the caretaker will be the first point of contact for residents needing assistance. Attention to detail will be key in fulfilling the duties, which can range from basic repairs to ensuring that outdoor spaces are well-maintained. Responsibilities
Perform daily cleaning and maintenance of residential areas and communal spaces.
Inspect buildings and grounds for safety and cleanliness, addressing any issues as needed.
Respond to resident inquiries and concerns promptly and professionally.
Assist with minor repairs and notify maintenance staff for larger repair needs.
Ensure proper disposal of waste and maintain cleanliness in outdoor areas.
Monitor and report maintenance needs of facilities and environments to management.
Work collaboratively with other team members and departments to maintain high standards.
Requirements
Experience in custodial service, facility management, or related fields.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills for resident interaction.
Ability to perform minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Knowledge of health and safety regulations in a residential setting.
Proficiency in time management and organizational skills.
Physical stamina and ability to lift and move items as necessary.
Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends or holidays as needed.
Hours Per Week: 36.00
Start Time: 08:00
End Time: 16:30
Pay Per Hour: £15.19
