Brookfields School is a welcoming and inclusive SEN school committed to providing a supportive, inspiring environment for all our students. We are looking for a highly competent and proactive Office Manager & Personal Assistant to the Headteacher to become an integral part of our dynamic team.
Your Role: Making a Difference Every Day
This is a key role in the school's front-facing operations and will support the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team (SLT). You'll be the glue that holds the school office together, ensuring everything runs smoothly, efficiently, and with care.
Your Responsibilities Will Include:
Key Responsibilities
Support the Headteacher: Manage their diary, correspondence and meetings
Lead the Office Team: Managing a friendly, professional administrative team (including reception and specialist admin roles)
Run a Busy School Office: Ensure smooth day-to-day operations and high standards
Coordinate School Systems: Manage student data, communications, attendance, admissions, events and more using systems like SIMS/Arbor
Be the First Point of Contact: Welcome visitors and liaise with families, staff and external professionals
Support Compliance: Ensure GDPR, safeguarding and reporting processes are followed
About You:
✅ Exceptionally organised, calm under pressure, and detail-oriented
✅ A confident communicator with excellent interpersonal skills
✅ Proficient in Microsoft Office and other MIS systems
✅ Discreet, professional and trustworthy when handling sensitive information
✅ A natural leader who thrives in a busy school environment
Experience of working in a school environment is advantageous but not essential as full ongoing training will be provided. The willingness to work in a SEN environment where you can demonstrate your excellent support skills, motivation, resilience and desire to make a difference is equally as important.
