Job Advert
We're looking for a dedicated and knowledgeable Senior Building Safety Inspector to join our Building Safety team and play a key
role in delivering safety assurance across our high-rise and higher-risk residential buildings.
This is a critical post responsible for ensuring our buildings meet the highest standards of structural and fire safety in line
with the Building Safety Act, and that our residents feel informed, safe, and supported.
As Senior Building Safety Inspector, you will:
* Take operational responsibility for compliance across high-rise and higher-risk buildings
* Support the Business Lead in day-to-day programme planning and deputise in times of absence or high demand
* Lead on-site inspections including fire alarm and emergency lighting testing, fire door audits, and site safety checks
* Post-inspect safety works to ensure quality and compliance
* Monitor and manage fire risk assessment actions, working closely with internal teams and contractors
* Engage with residents to support safety education, feedback, and transparency
* Maintain and audit safety records, asset data, and digital platforms (e.g., BIM software)
* Provide technical advice on fire and building safety regulations and policies
* Liaise with enforcement bodies (e.g., Fire Service, Building Control)
* Lead by example and provide informal support to other Inspectors
* Coordinate with investment teams to support fire safety works and improvement schemes
* Play a key role in resident engagement and communication on building safety matters
What We're Looking For:
* Strong working knowledge of building safety, fire safety legislation, and compliance frameworks
* Experience in housing, building safety, or compliance-related roles
* Excellent organisational skills with the ability to manage inspections and follow-up actions
* Confident communicator - able to engage effectively with residents, colleagues, and external partners
* Tech-savvy, with the ability to use mobile technology and asset management systems
* Full UK driving licence and access to your own insured vehicle (business use)
Interview Process:
* Candidates will undergo in-person interviews, consisting of a competency-based interview. Interviews will take place on
Wednesday 6th August 2025 in our Warrington office.
Additional Information:
