A progressive and inclusive secondary school in Kettering—part of a highly regarded Multi Academy Trust—is looking for enthusiastic graduates to join their team as Graduate Secondary Teaching Assistants starting in September 2025.

The Role

This is a full-time, paid opportunity designed to immerse you in the daily life of a secondary school. You’ll support experienced teachers, work directly with students, and gain real insight into the teaching profession—perfect for anyone considering a future in education.

Subjects in High Demand

We’re particularly interested in graduates with strengths in:

  • Science (Biology, Chemistry, Physics)


  • Mathematics


  • Modern Foreign Languages (Spanish preferred; French also considered)


  • Geography


  • Nutrition / Food Technology

      Your Key Responsibilities
      • Assist teaching and learning across your subject area or more generally as needed


      • Provide 1:1 or small-group support to students


      • Help with lesson planning and classroom prep


      • Promote positive behaviour and a constructive learning atmosphere


      • Learn the inner workings of school life—from policy to practice


        Who We’re Looking For
        • Final-year students or recent graduates with a minimum 2:1 degree


        • Preferably from a Russell Group or Top 20 UK university


        • Passionate about education and supporting young people


        • Reliable, enthusiastic, and proactive


        • Interest in one or more of the subject areas listed


        • Any experience working with children (e.g., tutoring, coaching, mentoring) is a bonus—not a requirement
